Usually, when declaring a conditional appearance rule via the ConditionalApperance module, you should list all the properties you are going to customize. It is quite difficult if your class has a lot of properties. Using the * wildcard you can select all the class properties for customization. If a property is listed together with the '*' wildcard, then it will be excluded from the customization. Here, a rule is declared to disable the Name and Description properties when the DisableProperties flag is set. The DisableProperties property is excluded from the customization and it is always available.
