This demo illustrates how a token box can be used to edit column values within the DevExpress ASP.NET Grid View (ASPxGridView) control.

In this demo, the grid contains the Roles column of the GridViewDataTokenBoxColumn type (see the ASPX code). Click the Edit link to display a grid edit form. In that form, you can see the embedded token box control used to edit the Roles column value.
