The DevExpress ASP.NET Grid View (ASPxGridView) offers total control over the way in which individual editors are displayed within the Edit Form. For this purpose, the grid uses the built-in FormLayout whose availability is controlled by the UseFormLayout property (which is enabled by default). The embedded FormLayout settings can be completely customized at the grid level using the EditFormLayoutProperties property.

The FormLayout layout items are gathered in the EditFormLayoutProperties.Items collection and associated with grid data columns using their ColumnName property. Each layout item can contain a DevExpress ASP.NET MVC data editor allowing end-users to edit corresponding field type values.
